Just a brief post, here, friends . . .
Thanks so much for the wonderful tales!
Please come up with one on this theme: a withdrawn and socially awkward girl, despite herself, shows the way to peace for her fighting neighbors. It can be through example or words.
THANKS!

Beautiful, Bruja!
Thank you so much for a wonderful start . . .
Loyalty, admiration, affection. Something to ponder as I head out the door in a few minutes to meet today's challenges.
With gratitude,

Not so easily in writng. Abstracts like love and fear and courage and loyalty are a challenge to show. Sure, you can say the boy is brave, you can say Mom is loving and devoted. How do you show human characteristics in words as you write about the people in your story?
Would you kindly write a few lines -- or more -- depicting a human trait (good or bad) without actually saying the person is loving, courageous, hateful, loyal, etc.
THANKS!

one man, so complex, oh dear, coco.

.. he's chock full of coffee and nominal phrases,.
Thank you, wasblind, Nancy and rip!
You are not only creative and funny but also giving little work for a blue pencil to do.
Quite seriously apt.

"writing, at its best, is a lonely life.
organizations for writers palliate the writer's loneliness but i doubt if they improve his writing.
he grows in public stature as he sheds his loneliness and often his work deteriorates.
Thank you, dear new hope, for your lovely posts! So much insight. No, Hemingway did not have the internet, and Nancy's writing is always a cheerful kick in the slacks!
I wrote The Garden Bench, which was in honor of my grandparents. I still have that bench.
Best regards.

Many oaks front man made bodies of water or are surrounded by turf requiring irrigation during our hot summers.
They're dying . . .
